When Faith Meets Fear: How God’s Grace Changed Her Choice

We were recently contacted by a young woman seeking guidance as she faced a difficult pregnancy decision. She had entered into an unstable relationship with an older man and soon discovered she was pregnant. Having just embraced Christianity, she was wrestling with the moral and spiritual implications of abortion, questioning whether it was the right choice and if God would forgive her.

Over the course of a week, we walked alongside her—praying together, sharing resources, and helping her experience God’s love in the midst of her circumstances. Through this journey, she began to understand that her new faith offered her grace—not only for her unborn child, but also for herself.

As we continued to support her, she revealed that she had undergone a previous abortion a few years earlier. We gently explored the emotional impact of that experience and any lingering ties to the father of that child. With prayer and reflection, she found healing and clarity.

Ultimately, she chose to carry her baby. We were able to provide her with housing resources and connect her to a supportive community that will walk with her throughout her pregnancy, offering encouragement and love every step of the way.
